Anyone can do yoga

Whether you’re looking for something to do this weekend, want to help a good cause, or just want a reason to put down the spinach dip and get some exercise for once (just me?), we’ve got the perfect treat for you: the annual, cross-Canada event, in support of arthritis and autoimmune conditions.
I spotted this hidden gem of an event when I was at some health trade show, which I can’t remember and isn’t worth mentioning anyways but was worth it because I met Cara –– the local promoter for this event. I was instantly drawn into the simplicity of the marketing materials (not to mention the photo of the hot football player doing the “Cobra” yoga position). The cute poster is basically all white space, with one dramatic black and white photo of a person you might not expect to see doing yoga and reads “Anyone can do yoga.”
The event, which happens across Canada on this Sunday, February 27. proceeds benefiting Arthritis and Autoimmunity Research Centre Foundation and your “good karma contribution” gets you a bunch of goodies, not to mention access to the event which is happening in Winnipeg, as well as 11 other locations across Canada.
Show up anytime between 10-11:00 a.m. and get settled before the big event starts at 11:00 a.m, when hundreds of people at the Fort Garry, and thousands more across the country, will do one, big mega session. Donations are welcome. Hopefully you’re as excited as we are for this!
